Favorite Amazon Finds

Isn’t it crazy to look back & see how much our shopping habits have changed over the years?  Back in the early 2000’s, I rarely bought anything from a website and now I probably shop more online than I do in stores!  We’ve all come to love Amazon for its vast inventory and fast shipping, so I thought I would share a round-up of my favorite purchases with you today.  I’ve broken these down by category and written a mini review for each item.  Let me know if you like this type of post and, if so, I can make it a more regular thing!  I’d also love to hear what your top Amazon buys are, so please share in the comments below.

FOR THE HOME

best amazon home buys

Shower Caddy
Unfortunately, our master bathroom doesn’t have a very large shower, so we need some sort of solution for holding all our products.  The design of this shower caddy is so much better than the one we had before, which was constantly slipping down or swinging loose.  I also like that the metal holders are at a slant, so when I get near the end of my bottle, I can tip it the other way to keep the product near the nozzle for easy dispensing. Plus, the suction cup is really strong and actually stays put!

Fringe Bins
After the first of the year, I went on an organizing kick and our fridge was at the top of my list.  I ordered these bins to keep everything contained and I honestly don’t know how we lived without them!  Nothing makes me happier than opening that door and seeing everything so orderly & neat.

Almond Flour Pizza Dough Mix
I try to make most of my foods from scratch, but there are certain things that I’ve decided are worth a little extra money for the convenience and pizza dough is one of them.  This is the best Paleo mix I’ve tried, so I was happy to discover that I could buy it in bulk on Amazon.  Other food items I order pretty regularly: these gluten-free cookies (taste just like the Girl Scout versions!), these dairy-free & soy-free chocolate chips, this pancake & waffle mix, these protein bars and these cheese crisps.

Yardzee
Once the weather gets nice, we spend almost every night eating dinner on our deck and playing outside afterwards.  We already have a volleyball net, croquet set and bocce ball, but I was looking for some new yard games we could get for this summer.  This is basically a jumbo version of the classic Yahtzee, which my kids love, and it’s so fun to play as a family or when we have friends over (would make a great Father’s Day gift!).  More of our must-haves for summer: this handy mitt that gets sand off things quickly & easily, this ladder ball game (we take it with us camping) and these cool bike wheel lights.

Aspartame-Free Gum
Slightly random, but this is the only gum we chew in our house – it’s long-lasting, non-GMO & doesn’t have any artificial sweeteners.  It comes in dozens of flavors, but this one is my absolute favorite.

Metal Chip Clips
I don’t know how many plastic chip clips I have shattered over the years, but there is nothing more annoying!  These stainless steel clips are heavy duty with a firm grip & are perfect for everything from chips to flour bags to snacks.  Note: if you have small children, be careful letting them handle these as the edges can be sharp.

Car Handbag Hook
I hate putting my handbag on the floor of the car because it will inevitably get dirty and it seems like whenever I toss it in the passenger seat, it ends up toppling over and everything spills out.  These hooks are a simple & smart solution – I also use them for hanging grocery bags on and my kids hang their backpacks on them when I pick them up after school (would be great for diaper bags too!).

Grill Basket
I’ll do just about anything to avoid turning the oven on in the summer.  This grill basket is a life-saver because I can throw our pre-cut veggies into it and my husband can put it on the grill along with our fish or chicken for dinner so everything cooks at once.

FASHION & BEAUTY

Amazon Fashion & Beauty Favorites

Printed Maxi Dress
I just ordered this dress for my India trip because I need something that will cover my shoulders and doesn’t expose bare legs.  I’ll admit that I was a little hesitant based on the price, but I was pleasantly surprised when it arrived.  I found it to run true to size (I typically wear a 4 in dresses & I ordered a small).  The print is even more beautiful in person and it’s so lightweight that it will be perfect in the summer heat & humidity.  Other cute dresses I found that also get great reviews: this boho maxi, this smocked sundress & this printed wrap dress.

Aviator Sunglasses
I’ve been wanting a pair of black aviators but the Ray Ban style I love so much simply wasn’t in my budget.  These are the exact look I was going for and they’re so affordable that I won’t feel awful if they end up broken or misplaced.

Ear Cuffs
Love the look of multiple piercings but don’t want to put more holes in your ears? These pretty little cuffs are the solution!  They’re easy to adjust and they stay put all day long – such a fun way to switch up your ear stack for less.

Coconut Charcoal Toothpaste
I just started testing out this new toothpaste and, although the black color takes some getting used to, I am loving it so far.  It’s a great flouride-free option that whitens & helps strengthen enamel.

Makeup brush cleaner
My new favorite solution for cleaning my makeup brushes – this cleaner is hypoallergenic and made from plant-based ingredients so I don’t have to worry about my skin reacting to it.  After applying it to my brushes, I scrub them clean on this silicone mat, which suctions to the inside of the sink – so easy!

No-Tie Shoe Laces
Having worked at Nike for years, my husband cringes every time he sees me trying to get my shoes on without untying & retying my laces (it weakens the heel over time, for those who are wondering).  But I like the ease of being able to slip my sneakers on & off quickly so I went searching for a solution that wouldn’t damage my shoes and these elastic shoelaces were the clear winner.  After getting a pair for myself & falling in love with them, I quickly ordered more for the kids to use on their sneakers too – these will be great when we are camping & hiking this summer!

Ice Roller
After hearing so many of my blogger friends rave about this little beauty tool, I had to try it out for myself.  If you regularly battle puffiness in the morning, this will be your new best friend – plus, it feels amazing.  One of my girlfriends who gets awful migraines said that this works wonders for that too!

Crochet Bag
They have so many affordable summer bag options on Amazon, particularly woven options which are so popular right now.  I ordered this crochet bag and the quality far surpassed what I paid for it – this will be great for carrying to the beach, but it looks just as cute with sundresses too!  Other budget-friendly bags worth checking out: this straw tote, this rattan crossbody, this bamboo clutch and this woven shoulder bag.

Muscle Roller
I was previously using a massive foam roller for getting knots out of my muscles and loosening things up a bit after my workouts.  But, I actually prefer this handheld option because it’s easier to maneuver & the bumps on it allow me to get deeper into the muscles than the smooth finish of the foam does.  Plus, it’s lightweight enough to toss in my gym bag or take with me when I travel.

Nail Buffer
I give myself at-home manicures every 10-14 days and this buffer is by far my favorite for smoothing out ridges, removing bumps and keeping my nails in great shape.

Hair Turban Towel
I’ve recommended this hair turban to so many friends and they’ve all said they’ll never go back to a regular towel for drying their hair ever again.  The microfiber cloth removes moisture quicker than traditional cotton and it’s so gentle on hair that you end up with less frizz & breakage.

Ring Cleaner
This jewelry cleaner is super-effective and so handy thanks to the pen-like dispenser.  I love that the formula is 100% all-natural with no ammonia or alcohol (those other brands can be so irritating to my sensitive skin).

Collagen Peptides
Having Lupus, joint pain is pretty much a part of my everyday life, but I noticed a marked improvement when I started using this.  I put one scoop in my coffee each morning – it dissolves quickly & is completely flavorless (so great for your skin & nails too!).

Resin Statement Earrings
Who doesn’t love a fun statement earring for spring & summer?  These are perfect for pairing with eyelet tops or sundresses – not too heavy on your ears + they’re only $10!

1 Gallon Water Bottle
If you’re like me & struggle to drink enough water, then this bottle might help!  It comes in tons of different colors & I really like being able to track my progress throughout the day so I know exactly how much more I need.  And, unlike my other water bottle, because this is so large, I don’t have to worry about refilling it constantly.
