Have you heard the song, “Just Give Me A Reason” by the pop artist Pink? Its lyrics go along these lines-
“Just give me a reason, just a little bit’s enough
Just a second we’re not broken just bent and we can learn to love again
It’s in the stars, it’s been written in the scars on our hearts

This song was running in my mind while I did my research to write this article on Bollywood marriages. Why is this relevant? We will get to that in just a little bit.
In every corner of the world, and more specifically in India, traditions and conservative society have created their own laws for the conjugal world, and according to these unwritten laws, marriages are meant to last forever! Indians are very emotional and sentimental when it comes to their relationships and we handle it with utmost concern, love, and care. It is quite literally “till death do us apart” for us desi people.

And then there’s Bollywood, the tinsel town of the country which influences the common people in more ways than one.Love and marriage are one of the most talked about subjects in Bollywood. Yes, every member of the tinsel town has had their own share of linkups and rumors but, we’ve seen them brave all the odds and stand with their partners. And while some of the marriages have ended, they too have taught us a lesson. They have shown us that you do get a second chance at love. Now, does the song sound relevant?

Kareena Kapoor Khan And Saif Ali Khan

This couple has bombarded us with #LoveGoals, since the inception of their relationship. This royal couple sure seems to have it all, and with the arrival of their son Taimur, the entire nation seems to have become obsessed with this family.
But, when you look at Saif’s and Kareena’s life, you’ll see that it was never a smooth road for them in matters of the heart. While Kareena had her own share of failed relationships, Saif too got a divorce after his 13-year-old marriage with Amrita Singh fell apart. But love was meant to have a place in Saif’s life and today we can definitely see how happy he is with Kareena.
Rani Mukerji And Aditya Chopra

Aditya was earlier married to Payal Khanna, but they ended their marriage in 2009. Rani too was rumored to be dating Abhishek Bachchan in the early 2000s, but it never materialized into something solid. It comes across that Rani and Aditya struck the love note due to the actor’s frequent collaborations with Yash Raj films (Aditya’s family business). Their friendship took its time to develop and finally blossomed into love. It finally came to fruition when Rani and Aditya secretly tied the knot in Italy on April 21, 2014. Today, they have a beautiful daughter, Adira, together. Both of them gave love a second chance and are happily married to each other now.

Our very own Mr. Perfectionist of Bollywood had a not-so-perfect married life! He’s romanced several heroines on the silver screen, but it was two real women, Reena Dutta, and Kiran Rao, who won his heart. At a very tender age, he lost his heart to Reena and they were married for 16 years before they called it quits. Aamir recalls the divorce as a traumatic phase of life, however, both of them continue to stay cordial to each other. He also says that he was fortunate enough to find love again in life with Kiran. They got married in 2005, and since then the couple has been giving #CoupleGoals to all of us. They continue to support each other in their careers where Aamir is mostly onscreen while Kiran is the one behind the scenes.

Theirs is a very controversial love story that resembles the plot of some Bollywood movie. For Boney, it was love at first sight when he saw Sridevi in a Tamil movie way back in the 1970s. But he was married back then, to his first wife Mona Shourie Kapoor. But as they say, some love stories are just meant to be. After a stream of loving glances, deep concern, and affection that he showered on Sridevi, he finally won her heart and they got married in 1996 after Boney divorced his first wife. It was never easy for Sridevi who always chose not to discuss her personal life. She was also reviled publicly for being a “home-breaker”. But both of them continued to stick to their guns, and in the end, their love stilled the wagging tongues. Ever since, their love story is spoken about with great regard.
