Hyram Yarbro's known for his straightforward, tell-it-like-it-is skin-care routine reviews, but as a teenager growing up on a cattle ranch in Arizona, his first beauty love was makeup. "Truthfully, having struggled with self-confidence, societal expectation of masculinity, and mental health issues, I never recognized my own beauty until I tried cosmetics for the first time," he tells me. "They unlocked my ability to see my worth, and I hope to help unlock that experience within others."
To the millions of people who follow Yarbro on TikTok, IG, and Youtube, he's sort of a skin-care whisperer. He breaks down ingredient lists, analyzes celebrity skin-care routines, and tells his audience the truth about which products are actually worth the money. Now Yarbro is taking his talents into the product space; launched with The Inkey List, Selfless by Hyram debuted on June 24th with five products: three serums, a cleanser, and a moisturizer. Social change is an important aspect of the brand ethos and those values include responsibly sourced ingredients, climate conscientiousness, and sustainability. Below, we caught up with Yarbro to see what skin-care products he's loving right now.

It's so hard to find an effective retinol serum that isn't too irritating, not too drying, while in a lightweight consistency. I'm obsessed with using this serum every other night to prevent premature aging and acne scarring!
Eye Duty Niacinamide Brightening Cream
In order to combat under-eye circles, I am obsessed with using this eye cream because it's a perfect balance of a brightening eye cream and makeup, thanks to its slight corrective tint.
Salicylic Acid & Sea Kelp Pore Clearing & Oil Control Serum
Using a daytime serum can be so difficult because of my oily skin, and I absolutely love using this lightweight formula every day to control excess sebum production and breakouts and to gently exfoliate my skin.
Block Star Invisible Daily Sunscreen
This has been my favorite sunscreen for months, and I don't plan on stopping anytime soon! It's a mineral SPF with a slight tint to correct any redness, but it does an incredible job of controlling oiliness and greasiness throughout the day.
Centella & Green Tea Daily Gel Cleanser
It's so difficult finding the perfect balance of a cleanser that is gentle on the skin while still deeply cleansing and powerful enough to remove dirt and sunscreen. This formula is the only cleanser I can use both day and night every day for months on end with no side effects.
Great Barrier Relief
This is one of my first skin-care loves, and I continually and frequently use it overnight because of its powerful ability to repair the skin's moisture barrier, boost hydration, and prevent additional damage.
Mandelic Acid & Rice Bran Gentle Exfoliating Serum
I've never been able to use an exfoliant that's effective on my ultra-sensitive neck area, but I'm obsessed with this formula because of how it never irritates my skin while still effectively removing the dead skin cells and preventing breakouts. It's the best formula I've ever used for sensitive skin!
