The Golden Globes was held at The Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, California on 5th January 2020. It was hosted by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association and saw a range of fashion trends on the red carpet this year. The Golden Globe last year followed a dress code of all black in solidarity with the Time’s Up movement which was an initiative taken to combat harassment by women in the entertainment industry to women everywhere. This year, the Golden Globe 2020 did not have a specific dress code but saw the most alluring gowns, flattering hemlines, and embroidered haute couture. Her stunning off-shoulder Cristina Ottaviano gown had a classic style with cascading vintage waves on one side and a body-fitting mermaid cut. Gleaming in a yellow Fendi jumpsuit, Zoey Deutch paired her necklace of more than 100 carats of Harry Winston diamonds and sapphires. Another striking appearance was the British actress Cynthia Erivo who wore a Thom Browne tuxedo dress. Her shoulder gown sparkled with sequins and black crystals and pearl embroidery.
